Founded in 2016, muud is a Danish lifestyle brand, deeply rooted in the Scandinavian mindset. They design beautiful premium leather accessories made to last for many years. muud wanted to offer what the industry was missing: A quality accessory brand for skilled craftsmen – with the ambition to improve your crafting experience by focusing on the details and functionality of their products.

All products are being manufactured at the muud factory/facility in India. (Danish/Indian alliance). They control the working environment accordingly to EU standards, which are higher standards than average in India. This includes the conditions for workers, salary, and working hours.

The leather comes from Indian milking cows, which have lived a free life in the nature, not being confined inside a milk production factory. Once the cows have served their main-purpose of making milk and die, the leather/skin is then separated, allowing manufacturers like muud to buy the beautiful by-product. A product that would otherwise have been destroyed.

In conclusion, the cows are not bred for leather purposes.

In terms of processing the skin muud take the liberty to use only the best materials such as dye from Germany, which are imported to India, to ensure a top-level quality. They manufacture in accordance to EU laws, regulations and beyond. making sure to test all materials to ensure no harmful substance are being used.
