Natural Ewe Yarns is a mother-daughter dye duo, working exclusively with natural dyes in Pictou, Nova Scotia. They are a yarn store specializing in earth-friendly fibers, botanically dyed yarn, and sustainable knitting notions and accessories. Their yarns and textile products are all hand dyed from plants they forage locally or grow in their own garden, as well as some more exotic barks and extracts from Canadian importers. 

As hand dyers (and discerning knitters), they look for the highest quality natural fiber yarns. They buy their yarn bases from another small family business, who not only design their yarns in-house, but source their fibers from reliable suppliers who have establish best practices in relation to animal husbandry and the environment. This means no animals are injured and strict standards of waste water treatment and re-use are upheld. They further their commitment to the environment by offering our customers sustainable options.
