Commitment to due diligence for sustainability

At CaMaRose, they strive to operate responsibly in both business and company development.

For many years, they have focused on being responsible and now, are committed to doing this in a more organized way by making sustainability a priority.

This commitment is guided by internationally recognized principles, such as the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and the UN’s Guidelines on Business and Human Rights. These principles help them work toward sustainable development, which includes respecting human rights, labor rights, protecting the environment (including climate change and biodiversity), and fighting corruption.

As part of their sustainability efforts, they assess where the company might have the biggest negative impact on people, the environment, and society in their supply chains. They will address any negative effects that may cause, contribute to, or are connected to their suppliers.

CaMaRose is dedicated to producing yarn responsibly. By requesting items like organic yarn and certified yarns (like RAF and GOTS), they have influenced their producers to offer more products that meet those standards.

Where possible, they source products that are certified and are always looking for ways to expand certifications by consistently asking their producers.  This is one area where they can raise company standards in areas like animal welfare, labor rights, and the environment, and to increase demand for higher standards.
