Highland wool originates from crossbred sheep raised above 2,000 meters in the Peruvian highlands. These sheep, a blend of Corriedale and Merino breeds, produce wool characterized by its dryness, crimp, and resilience—qualities shaped by their high-altitude environment. While not as soft as Merino, this wool offers greater strength, warmth, and impressive elasticity.
